  • Abilities Network Annual Walkabout Abilities: We will need about 7-10 volunteers to run a table at the Abilities Network Event. Attendees will participate in art activities you design! Fun way to spend your Saturday! Great Cause!!!

Announcements:
Thanks to all that participated in the Fall Bake Sale, we raised $211.05

Upcoming NAEA Events:
  • Stuff a Stocking Holiday Drive: Donate art materials and other stocking stuffers for two children this holiday season. We are sponsoring a boy and a girl ages 7-10. 
  • Upcoming movie night, THIS THURSDAY, DECEMBER 8th @ 7pm
    • "Who the #$&% is Jackson Pollock"
    • With guest speaker, Art Historian Amy Sowder Koch
  • Holiday/Final Exam Bake Sale
    • Tuesday, December 13th 9am-3pm
    • Wednesday, December 14th 9am-3pm
    • Sign-Up sheets on ARED Room Door 2001
    • We need volunteers to sit in the CFA Atrium to sell baked goods as well as those to bring baked goods for BOTH DAYS!

NAEA 2nd Annual Juried Art Exhibition 
*Please note, the details below are basic guidelines as of NOW, they are subject to change, and are not the official exhibition specifications. As the date approaches, Loan forms, and Specifications will be emailed to all Art Education Majors. 

Important Dates:
·      Delivery of Artwork: Thursday, January 5th (or by apt if needed earlier)
·      Opening Reception: Friday, January 20th at 7pm
·      Show: Friday, January 20th-Friday, February 24th
·      Pick-up of Art Work: Saturday, February 25th
Details:
·      Towson Arts Collective
·      Jurors: Jim Paulson and Tonia Matthews
·      Each Person wishing to submit work MUST fill out a TAC Loan Form (will be emailed by Megan White)
·      $10 entry fee to NAEA with signature of liability waiver (will be emailed out by Megan White)
o   To pay for maintenance, etc.
·      NAEA is responsible for paying for refreshments and advertising
·      Volunteers to sit the Gallery:
o   Sitting effects commission for the artists
o   TAC Commission: 60/40%
o   1x sit: 80/20%
o   2x sit: 90/10%
·      We get to decide what days the gallery is open/how many times/etc.
·      SPECS of ARTWORK:
o   Paintings on canvas must be stretched and wired in a professional manner
o   Works on paper must be framed (glass or plexi with no exposed edges) and wired
o   Only Scrolls will be allowed unframed (must be able to hang by nail)
o   2x2 or smaller 3-D work: Bring your own Pedestal
o   No push pins
o   Max size for work (in process of negotiating) 4x4ft
§  If you are interested in exhibiting a large piece send a photo of the piece, title, media, dimensions, to Megan White and she will send it to TAC for size approval
·      Simultaneous show with Art Therapists from Sheppard Pratt
·      YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR YOUR OWN WORK
·      THE WORKS WILL NOT BE INSURED, NAEA WILL NOT BE RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY LOSS OR DAMAGE
·      IF YOU DO NOT PICK UP WORK ON DESIGNATED DAYS THEY WILL BE DISGARDED

    • Towson University's award-winning literary magazine, Grub Street is looking for art!
    • Deadline January 31st
    • Submit digital images of your work via the website: www.towson.edu\grubstreet Make sure images are ready to be reproduced, are 300dpi and at least 4x6 inches.

Students are needed teach an exciting art lesson to the participants of this annual walk at Goucher College.
Adopt-A-Campus
Volunteers will all work together on this campus wide clean-up.
Scavenger Hunt
Participants will begin this scavenger hunt on the Beach and travel throughout the campus looking for clues.
